Retail Assistant Manager – overview and responsibilities Responsibilities Collaborate with the Store Leader and management team to supervise store employees and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching. Maintain high retention by identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity. Assist in implementing merchandising and marketing programs. Oversee cash handling, fuel transactions, and promotion of the loyalty program. Maintain a clean, safe environment by complying with health and sanitation procedures and ensuring products are in-stock and presentable. Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication and intrapersonal skills. Proficient computer knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel). High School diploma or GED is preferred, but not required for candidates with at least one year of Retail Management experience. Valid Driver’s License with automotive liability insurance as required during employment. Ability to multi-task, perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
