Clinical Counselor | Altercare Somerset | Part Time

Job Details Position Summary: This is not your typical counseling job! If you have a passion for working in a creative environment with older adults, then this Clinical Counseling position is for you! It is a full-time position averaging 36-40 hours per week with full-time benefits. This position will be located at Altercare Somerset 411 S. Columbus St. Somerset, OH 43783 . Position Responsibilities Conduct diagnostic assessments/updates, develop/revise/implement individualized treatment plans, and provide individual and/or group therapy to residents of nursing homes. Utilize outcomes tools to monitor effectiveness of treatment. Consult and collaborate with other interdisciplinary staff as needed. Maintain active licensure to practice as a counselor or social worker. Essential Skills And Behaviors Demonstrates solid therapeutic and evaluating skills, strong communication skills (both written and verbal), and positive problem‑solving skills. Abides by the EncompassCare and/or professional code of ethics. Education & Experience Requires an active state license to practice as a social worker or professional counselor in Ohio. Experience in providing counseling/therapy services to older adults preferred but not required.
