Distribution Design Engineer I

• Assist with the design of electric and gas distribution systems for utility infrastructure projects.
• Prepare overhead and underground design packages using AutoCAD and related tools.
• Participate in field visits, gather site data, and help identify design issues and practical solutions.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Work closely with experienced engineers while learning industry standards, utility practices, and project delivery expectations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience, including internships, co-ops, or relevant academic projects.
• Familiarity with power systems, utilities, or infrastructure design.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and a willingness to learn in a team-focused environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, MO.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
