Sr Landscape Design Professional

HOK is seeking a Senior Landscape Design Professional for our Kansas City studio. We are looking for a creative, technically strong professional passionate about design excellence, sustainable solutions, and shaping meaningful places. Responsibilities Develop, modify, and review planning documents according to established standards. Work on a full range of assignments in the delivery of all project phases and construction administration. Develop, modify and review master plan reports, construction documents and specifications. Develop solutions to technical and design problems following established standards. Incorporate integrated sustainable design solutions into projects. Display ability to create design concepts and express them graphically. Compile data and perform elementary design computations. Perform benchmarking research on programming, comparable projects and images. Assure HOK document standards are met and archive documents appropriately. May assist the team in construction administration document management. Read and understand agreements to work within budget, schedule, work plan and client constraints. May mentor and direct the work of intern staff. Actively promote a collaborative and innovative culture. Foster a commitment to external and internal client service. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture or architecture; Master’s degree in landscape architecture or urban design preferred. 3 to 5 years’ experience (or equivalent in appropriate education and experience). Master’s degree in landscape architecture or urban design may also be required. LEED credential required within twelve months of employment. Other Travel may be required. Overtime may be required.
