Job Description
The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery to support construction and agricultural projects. This role requires the willingness and ability to travel out of state, working as part of a large crew to ensure efficient and safe operation of equipment including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, skid steers, and mulchers.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, skid steers, and mulchers
- Travel daily to various construction and agricultural sites
- Coordinate closely with a significant amount of crew members to execute project tasks safely and efficiently
- Perform equipment inspections and identify maintenance needs
- Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines on all work sites
- Maintain clear communication with team members and supervisors
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment operation
- Proficiency in operating excavators, bulldozers, and loaders
- Knowledge of safety procedures and preventive maintenance
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Problem-solving ability in dynamic work environments
- Willingness to travel full time across various job sites
