Essential Responsibilities

Procurement & Purchasing

• Source and purchase HVAC, plumbing, electrical materials, equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Obtain and evaluate vendor quotes to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
• Negotiate pricing, volume discounts, rebates, and vendor agreements.
• Issue and manage purchase orders and ensure timely fulfillment.
• Work with internal teams to ensure materials are available when needed.

Inventory & Vendor Management

• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and coordinate stock replenishment.
• Monitor usage trends, backorders, and emergency orders.
• Conduct inventory audits and help reduce excess inventory and stockouts.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and distributors.
• Evaluate vendor performance and resolve pricing, delivery, quality, and invoice issues.
• Identify new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.

Operations Support

• Work closely with managers, field supervisors, warehouse personnel, and service teams to understand material needs.
• Support HVAC, plumbing, electrical, warehouse, and fleet operations with procurement needs.
• Assist with large project and equipment purchases.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and vendor documentation.
• Prepare purchasing and inventory reports for management.
• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes and reduce costs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of procurement, purchasing, inventory, or supply chain experience.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with inventory management systems and purchasing software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred:

• Experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction, or home services.
• Knowledge of HVAC equipment, plumbing materials, and electrical components.
• Understanding of warehouse operations and inventory controls.
• Experience negotiating supplier contracts and pricing agreements.
