As a Security Officer Full Time Licensed Unarmed Patrol in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. You will contribute to a welcoming environment through routine patrols, observation, and timely reporting. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and individuals receiving services by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility areas, entrances, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; verify authorization when required and direct individuals to appropriate areas or resources.
• Maintain a professional presence in a government human-services environment, using de-escalation techniques and respectful communication when interacting with diverse populations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
