Operations Analyst

Join a High-Performing TeamCopperweld is looking for a driven, dedicated Operations Analyst to deliver financial reporting, analysis, and business insights for Copperweld Group and Corporate Planning functions. Working closely with the Sr. Operations Analyst and plant leadership, this role analyzes financial and operational performance, contributes to budgeting and forecasting efforts, develops performance reporting, and identifies opportunities to improve manufacturing finance processes across the organization.This position is ideal for someone who enjoys analyzing data, uncovering trends, and partnering with cross-functional teams to improve financial and operational performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.What We Need You To DoPrepare month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close analysis, providing financial and statistical results to plant and senior leadershipReport and analyze monthly plant KPIs, including scrap, inventory, and freight, identifying trends and opportunitiesAnalyze inventory, cost accounting, and manufacturing variances to identify trends and improvement opportunitiesAssist in the manufacturing budgeting and forecasting process by analyzing operating results, variances, and performance trendsSupport the site-level forecasting process and annual budget developmentSupport the standardization of operational reporting and financial processes across manufacturing sitesHelp ensure integrity of the manufacturing general ledger and prepare conclusions on P&L, manufacturing variances, labor analysis, and relevant capital expenditures for senior leadership monthlyPromote a visible, responsible financial culture by supporting plant leadership with financial trainingPerform other duties as assigned.What You Need To PossessBachelor's degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent experience, with 2-4 years of overall experience; manufacturing cost accounting experience is a plus but not requiredWorking knowledge of Plex is preferred but open to other major ERP system experienceExperience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools preferredStrong interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skillsStrong financial acumen, analytical, problem-solving, data management, and communication skillsExcellent analytical and business modeling skillsSolid planning and analysis skills for annual operating planning process, forecasts, analyses, etc.Highly skilled in utilizing Excel for analysis and building decision models, proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and OutlookWhy Copperweld?Strong Business OutlookComprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision PlansPaid Time off & 10 Holidays401k matchingCompany Paid Life & AD&D InsuranceEducation AssistanceGreat Place to Work CertifiedCopperweld is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
