The Spice House is seeking a Fulfillment Supervisor that can work in a fast paced distribution center environment that fulfills orders to multiple channels. This person must have the ability to manage and motivate hourly fulfillment center employees. This role will manage a 20,000 sq ft distribution center and service our eCommerce, Wholesale, and Retail Store customers.

The Fulfillment Supervisor reports to the Sr. Warehouse Operations Manager and is based at our facility in Elk Grove Village, IL. The Supervisor schedule is Sunday-Thursday.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of order fulfillment and the dedicated team that picks, packs and distributes all e-commerce, wholesale and grocery orders. Ensure all orders are delivered on time and in full.
• Supervise, coach, train, motivate team members to hold them accountable to department metrics.
• Conduct daily morning meetings to communicate updates, upcoming promotions, and other pertinent information to the team.
• Oversee preparation of final customer orders for shipment and working with other teams (wholesale, warehouse, etc.) to finalize shipping documents for the customers, scheduling customer pickups and/or freight shipments as needed.
• Ensure all outgoing packages are organized for pickups and proper reporting provided to all carriers, while also maintaining internal compliance of all packaging and packaged goods to company standards
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of all orders, including unique, special orders
• Ensure all employees adhere to company's policies and guidelines
• Act as a liaison between team members and management, ensuring efficient and effective communication.
• Coordinate with all relevant internal teams including the customer service team to manage customer needs (including but not limited to address changes, order subtractions/additions, special requests, as well as needed communication with wholesale account managers, production, and warehouse teams).
• Coordinate with the Production team to efficiently direct movement of inventory between the fulfillment center, wholesale and stores, including monitoring for out of stock items
• Document existing processes and work to create more efficiencies to scale the fulfillment and wholesale departments.
• Ensure inventory accuracy is continuously maintained (cycle counts, replenishment, refunds, returns, etc).
• Responsible for tracking and entering KPI metrics and sending daily and weekly recaps to cross functional teams.
• Identify, communicate, and solve any fulfillment or wholesale issues as they arise.
• Resolve escalated conflicts and employee discipline as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2-3+ years in fulfillment, distribution, warehouse, logistics or related fields with at least 1 year in a leadership role
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as manage and perform multiple tasks
• Ability to lead and direct others to hit daily, weekly and monthly metrics
• Must be able to follow and enforce all Spice House general work rules, policies, procedures, safety rules, guidelines and GMP's
• Ability to lift at least 50lbs and stand for long periods of time
• Intermediate computer skills, including MS Office, Google Workspace, and WMS software.

Reports To: Sr. Warehouse Operations Manager

Position Type: This is a salaried, exempt, full time position regularly scheduled for 40-45 hours/week (approximately 6:30am-4pm, Sunday-Thursday), with extended or varying hours as needed during peak business season.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to read, count and write accurately. Must be able to climb ladders, must be able to stand for extended periods of time and move items that can weigh up to 50 pounds.

Pay: All-in compensation package ranges from 50-65k based on experience
