Job Summary Any RN traveling more than 60 miles one way to Holy Cross is eligible for a travel stipend of $60 per day. Sign‑on Bonus Up to $10,000 SOB based on eligibility. Position Summary Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Responsibilities Implement and monitor patient care plans; monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate. Serve as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well‑coordinated patient care. Carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Assessment Initial assessment Re‑assessment Focused assessment based on patient condition, setting and population Problem identification – clinical judgment about the patient’s response to health conditions or needs. Planning and outcomes – set measurable goals in collaboration with the patient and family; document in the care plan. Establish daily goals with patient and family Formulate a plan of care Transition or discharge planning Implementation – provide nursing care according to the plan; document in the patient record. Ensure patient safety Medication administration Provide ordered treatments Educate patient/family Document nursing care in healthcare record Evaluation – continuously assess patient status and care effectiveness; modify care plan as needed. Care coordination – initiate actions with patients, families, and team members to manage the sequence, timing, and effectiveness of care from admission to discharge. Delegation Supervision Prioritization Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; continuing education as defined in the CARE program. Experience: One (1) year as an RN. Licensure/Certifications: Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license with ability to become Arizona licensed within 30 days. Basic Life Support (BLS). American Heart Association and others as required by individual department as noted in Attachment A. Preferred Requirements: Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Licensure/Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). American Heart Association. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or others as required by individual department.
