Registered Nurse (RN) – LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care during the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies
• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for the safe delivery of patient care
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education
• Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care
• Float to other units as facility needs require

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure; Florida AHCA compliance required for this placement
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery, postpartum, nursery, and/or Mother/Baby care
• Minimum 2 years of prior travel nursing experience
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• PALS certification required (may be obtained within 30 days of start if not currently held)
• Candidate must secure housing within 50 miles of the facility prior to acceptance; housing address must be provided upon placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• AWHONN certification preferred (can be completed onsite if not currently held)
• Experience floating across multiple obstetrical and women's health units
• Familiarity with antepartum through neonatal care in a fast-paced acute care environment
