Data incidents affect millions of individuals each year, and ACTFORE's response only moves as fast and as accurately as our projects are managed. Associate Project Managers own the day-to-day health of assigned engagements, keeping them accurate, on schedule, and successfully delivered.

As an Associate Project Manager, you own the full execution of assigned engagements from kickoff through delivery, serving as the primary operational connection between Senior Analysts, Analysts, the Director, and supporting divisions. This is an individual-contributor role focused solely on project execution.

Job Summary:

The Associate Project Manager owns the successful execution and delivery of assigned engagements, monitoring project health, maintaining quality standards, and keeping the Director and project teams informed from kickoff to delivery. APMs act as a sole contributor, coordinating across Senior Analysts, Analysts, and other divisions to keep engagements accurate, on schedule, and on track.

Compensation:

• $70,000-$80,000 annual salary depending on experience. Annual bonus and equity earned based on performance
• Eligible for company benefits (medical, dental, vision, and more details provided during the interview process)

Typical Schedule:

• Onsite in Reston, VA (in‑office presence required)
• Full-time role with standard operating hours M-F 9-5:30. This position may require the employee to remain in the office beyond standard working hours until all essential duties and assignments are completed. Work hours may vary depending on workload and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of assigned engagements from kickoff through delivery to the Director, ensuring they are accurate, on schedule, and properly staffed
  
• Track project progress and proactively communicate status, completion, and risks to Senior Analysts, Analysts, and the Director
• Conduct regular audits of project work to maintain quality standards, identify trends, and take corrective action when engagements fall behind schedule or below expectations
• Develop strong working knowledge of each engagement's data elements and requirements, and communicate them clearly and consistently to the project team
• Prepare and deliver regular status and metrics reporting to leadership on project progress, risks, and priorities
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related questions, maintaining responsive, consistent communication with Analysts, Senior Analysts, and the Director
• Coordinate closely with Data Science, Business Intelligence, Customer Success, and other divisions to ensure smooth project execution, escalating dependencies or issues that could affect delivery

You will be a fit if:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
• 1+ year of experience in project management and/or project coordination
• Experience in data analytics or data mining preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple timelines and priorities at once
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with project management tools is a plus
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally across analyst teams, the Director, and other divisions
• Analytical mindset with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
