About the Job

DuraFleet of South Jersey is seeking a dependable and experienced Mobile Diesel & Fleet Technician to provide on-site maintenance and repair services to commercial fleet customers throughout Southern New Jersey.

This is an independent field-based position for a technician who can diagnose issues, perform repairs efficiently, and represent DuraFleet professionally at customer locations. Typical Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on fleet vehicles and equipment
• Conduct preventive maintenance services and inspections
• Complete roadside repairs and emergency breakdown assistance
• Repair brakes, electrical systems, no-start conditions, suspension components, and other mechanical systems
• Service light-, medium-, and heavy-duty diesel and gasoline-powered vehicles
• Accurately document repairs, inspections, and customer interactions
• Communicate professionally with fleet managers, drivers, and customers
• Maintain service truck inventory and ensure a safe work environment

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Overtime opportunities available
• Some Saturday work based on customer demand
• Occasional after-hours emergency service calls

What We're Looking For

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on repair experience
• Diesel experience preferred
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift, bend, climb, and work in varying weather conditions
• Must provide your own basic hand tools

Bonus Qualifications

• Mobile repair or roadside service experience
• Fleet maintenance experience
• ASE certifications
