Night Veterinary Technician

Performance Equine Vets is looking for a Night Veterinary Technician to join our 24/7 equine hospital team in Aiken, South Carolina.

Think of this role as the equine hospital equivalent of an ER nurse—you provide hands-on nursing care for hospitalized, postoperative, emergency, and critical-care patients throughout the night.

Responsibilities include administering scheduled treatments, monitoring patients and recognizing changes in condition, maintaining accurate medical records, preparing and assisting with emergency and surgical cases, and keeping the hospital organized, stocked, and ready for incoming patients.

Equine experience is required. Vet tech or equine hospital experience is preferred; we will train a strong candidate with excellent horse-handling skills, good judgment, and a desire to learn. We need someone reliable, observant, calm and confident around horses, comfortable working independently while staying in close communication with the on-call veterinarian.

Schedule: full-time or part-time; 12-hour night shifts; about 2–3 shifts per week; consistent nights with opportunities for additional shifts.
