Medical Coordinator (Full Time)

Job Summary Full‑Time Medical Coordinator at our Brighton Office. The role supports clinical and administrative duties, focusing on Medical Assistant and Patient Coordinator functions. Responsibilities include performing high quality clinical and front‑office duties to support patients and providers. Responsibilities Patient and Provider Support: Foster a welcoming and professional environment, maintain a consistent office presence. Clinical Assistance: Assist providers with medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures, provide pre‑care and post‑care instructions, anticipate provider needs to optimize patient flow. Operational Duties: Prepare and maintain exam rooms before and after procedures, ensure equipment is functioning and conduct daily inventory checks. Inventory Management: Oversee stocking of medical supplies and equipment, maintain inventory records, alert management when supplies are low. Documentation and Patient Management: Document prescribed treatments, medications, lab requisitions, biopsies, cultures, photos, and patient consent forms; manage follow‑up appointments and track inventory used. Patient Interaction: Take payments, manage scheduling, record insurance cards, referrals, and demographic information while safeguarding privacy per HIPAA. Financial Responsibilities: Complete daily financial tasks, accurate cash handling, entering charges and payments, custodial responsibilities of petty cash and deposits. Phone and Communication Management: Answer calls promptly, confirm Zocdoc appointments, make outgoing retention calls, maintain an organized, privacy‑preserved work area. Administrative Duties: Create and maintain patient records accurately, check emails, scan inboxes regularly, perform other duties assigned by supervisors. Qualifications 6 months to 1 year of experience in a dermatology or medical environment (preferred). Proficiency in EMR systems and patient scheduling tools. High School Diploma or GED required; advanced education encouraged. Certification as a Medical Assistant highly encouraged. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Professional, reliable, and dedicated to maintaining high‑quality service standards. Familiar with HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
