Maintenance Mechanic

HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic in the manufacturing industry!

Salary: $31-41/hr

Shifts:

• 7 days 8 AM4 PM, then 3 days off
• 7 days 12 AM8 AM, then 2 days off
• 7 days 4 PM12 AM, then 2 days off

Location: Shakopee, Minnesota

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain electrical, mechanical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving chains, belts, rollers, conveyors, palletizers, and inspection systems.
• Use a wide range of hand tools, power tools, welding and cutting equipment, and machine tools.
• Perform skilled trade work such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical installations.
• Service mechanized equipment, including hoists, elevators, mobile equipment, and hi-lifts.
• Install and maintain utility lines for gas, water, and air.
• Inspect, install, relocate, and repair motors, switch boxes, control devices, and power circuits.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on plant equipment and machinery.
• Support furnace operations by assisting with installation and adjustment of burners.
• Weld, braze, and fabricate metal structures like guardrails, catwalks, and platforms.

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Required:

• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Ability to diagnose and repair industrial systems and equipment
• Proficient with industrial tools and equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
• Physically capable of performing hands-on maintenance tasks
• Willingness to work rotating shifts

Preferred:

• Experience with welding and fabrication
• Basic carpentry, plumbing, and painting skills
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and recordkeeping systems
