About the Position

Job Title: Occupational Therapist Profession: Occupational Therapy Specialty: Acute Care Therapy Services Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 4-9 hour days / Variable shifts Experience: One year related experience (preferably in a medical setting) License: Current/valid state licensure for Occupational Therapy required Certifications: BLS - American Heart Association required Must-Have: - Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school required Description: Provides assessment, treatment, and education in the areas of independent living, community reintegration, functional cognitive retraining, upper extremity function, perceptual activities, assistive equipment, and splinting/positioning mechanics. Evaluates patients, schedules, and establishes appropriate treatment goals along with anticipated outcomes. Delivers skilled physical assessments and treatments effectively. Delegates and supervises effectively within scope of authority to students, assistants, and technicians. Reassesses patients' progress, revises treatment plans, and modifies goals when appropriate. Promotes mission, vision, and values of the organization and abides by service behavior standards. Performs other duties as assigned.
