AVP, Casualty Claims - up to $165,000 + 30% bonus

AVP, Casualty Claims Base salary up to $165,000 + 30% annual bonus NYC or NJ - 4 days in office, 1 remote A leading insurance carrier is hiring an AVP, Casualty Claims. This is a senior-level technical role handling complex Commercial General Liability claims across premise liability, slip & fall, product liability and other bodily injury areas. You will manage mid to high-exposure claims from first notice through to resolution. You will also manage a range of other technical duties including claims reporting. Key Responsibilities Handle complex CGL claims including premises liability, slip & fall, auto liability, product liability and other wide ranging bodily injury cases Lead coverage investigations and draft detailed coverage position letters independently Manage litigated files, coordinating defense counsel and driving strategy through to resolution Evaluate liability, damages, and settlement exposure on higher-severity claims Maintain strong relationships with brokers, insureds, attorneys, and internal stakeholders Qualifications 5+ years of Commercial General Liability claims experience (premise/product/auto/slip & falls etc.) Strong exposure to coverage interpretation and other coverage matters Experienced within litigation through all stages of the claims process Experience within reinsurance highly beneficial Bachelor's degree required; Adjuster License preferred What's on Offer Competitive base salary ($135,000 - $165,000) + 30% annual bonus 20-25 days PTO and excellent benefits Clear progression path within a global insurance carrier #J-18808-Ljbffr Oliver James Associates Ltd.
