Assistant or Associate Professor - Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS), Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM) , is pleased to invite qualified applicants for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant or Associate professor level. The faculty position can either be tenure or non-tenure track depending on experience and qualifications. The duties of the faculty member will include didactic and clinical instruction of students and residents, scholarly activities, and service. Participation in the faculty practice is also expected. Candidates with teaching experience are preferred and those with scholarly and research interests are encouraged.

Qualifications

The candidate must have a DDS or DMD degree and be eligible for Board certification, or be Board certified, by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The candidate must possess or be able to obtain an appropriate license for clinical practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and have a developed or have a developing area of clinical excellence. Academic and clinical appointments and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

TUSDM is located on the University's Health Science campus in Boston. The Department of OMFS works as a key partner within the School of Dental Medicine and the Tufts Medical Center (TMC). Pay Range:

Assistant Professor: Minimum $116,000.00, Midpoint $145,000.00, Maximum $174,000.00

Associate Professor: Minimum $135,000.00, Midpoint $180,000.00, Maximum $225,000.00

Please Note : Pay ranges represent full-time 12-month base salaries.

The pay offered within the posted range will be determined based on a variety of factors such as (but not limited to) the individual's education and experience, discipline, rank, internal equity, and budgetary considerations. The above represents base salary that will be commensurate with experience. Supplemental compensation is applicable for this position and is determined by the School based on agreed upon roles and responsibilities of the individual contract.
