Compensation: $65–$75/hour, based on experience (up to 20 hours/week)

Role Overview:   

The Fractional Controller will serve as a strategic accounting and finance partner to Clarity Windows and Doors, providing senior-level financial oversight on a flexible, part-time basis. This person will be responsible for maintaining month-end close accuracy, performing AP/AR functions, ensuring GAAP compliance, and building the reporting infrastructure needed to turn financial data into insights the General Manager can act on. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who wants controller-level impact without a full-time commitment.

The Fractional Controller also partners with the broader Mosaic Service Partners corporate finance team to align on reporting cadence, standards, and private equity reporting requirements.

Responsibilities:   

• Own the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and GAAP compliance
• Establish financial maturity and strengthen the reporting infrastructure, building it from the ground up where needed
• Collaborate with the Mosaic Service Partners corporate finance team on reporting cadence, standards, and private equity reporting requirements
• Attend a weekly half-day, in-office meeting in Coppell, TX with the General Manager
• Perform the Accounts Receivable function to ensure customer jobs are invoiced, payments are entered, and that revenue ties out to the CRM, playing a key part in reaching the five-day close goal
• Participate in the month end close by ensuring all customer payments are entered correctly, reconciled and that revenue ties out to the CRM, playing a key part in reaching the five-day close goal

• Manage Accounts Payable and Credit Cards through Ramp.com. Reconcile and sync Ramp with Sage Intacct on a monthly basis ensuring accuracy of coding, and accruals
• Reconcile revenue earned (in accordance to GAAP compliance) with the CRM and Sage Intacct
• Own the end-to-end weekly payroll cycle across all compensation types, including:
  • Weekly processing of salaried and hourly wages for all employees
  • Monthly bonus calculation and payment
  • Weekly sales commission calculation for sales representatives, including verification against signed contracts, job status, and the applicable commission plan
  • Other variable compensation (spiffs, overtime, per-job incentives, expense reimbursements)
• Other finance and HR duties may be required as part of this job scope
• Direct Reports: Nil
• Collaborate closely with other Clarity team members and you will feel ownership of your work here and will work on forecasting with the General Manager

Role Requirements  

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
• 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including senior-level or controller-level ownership
• Experience with Sage Intacct and Ramp.com desirable
• Must live in, or be readily available to work from, the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area
• Strong grasp of GAAP compliance and accounting principles
• Background in residential services, job costing, construction, real estate, or hospitality preferred
• Proven ability to operate independently and manage priorities in a fractional, part-time capacity
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Logistics:  

• Reports to Justin Allen, General Manager
• Remote role BUT this person must be based in the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area, with one required half-day per week on-site at the Coppell, TX office
• 1099 independent contractor engagement, up to 20 hours per week, at an hourly rate of $65–$75 based on experience
• This engagement is expected to run approximately 6 months, opportunity to extend
