HR Specialist

Currently remote · Transitioning to an office along Highway 290/249 in Houston (near Willowbrook or Jersey Village)· Full-time Compensation: $65,000–$75,000 annually, plus insurance benefits Arise Equity Management is a fast-growing property management company. As our portfolio expands, our back-office processes need to scale with it — and we are seeking a candidate who will build that capability rather than simply maintain what exists today. This role is remote for the time being. Once our new office opens, the position will transition to on-site. Responsibilities Administer biweekly payroll end to end, including timesheet review, adjustments, and reporting Redesign manual HR processes into automated workflows across onboarding, offboarding, PTO, benefits enrollment, and compliance tracking Apply AI tools to document drafting, policy review, data cleanup, and other repetitive tasks that can be handled more efficiently Manage recruiting logistics, new hire onboarding, and employee records across all properties Maintain compliance with federal and Texas employment law and keep documentation audit-ready Serve as the primary point of contact for on-site teams regarding pay, benefits, and policy questions Qualifications Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to learn new systems quickly and identify where existing ones fall short Practical experience with AI tools and a demonstrated interest in applying them to routine work Proficiency with spreadsheets, HRIS and payroll platforms, and comparable business software A resourceful approach to problem-solving and the initiative to resolve issues independently Sound judgment in handling confidential information and the ability to work reliably under deadline Preferred Any HR certifications a plus; Bi-lingual Spanish and English We place a higher value on technical capability and resourcefulness than on formal HR credentials, and we are prepared to develop the right candidate's HR expertise accordingly. #J-18808-Ljbffr Arise Equity Management
