POSITION SUMMARYThe HR Compliance and Leave Specialist administers and ensures compliance with employee leave and accommodation programs, including FMLA, ADA, short-term disability, PWFA, and other protected leaves of absence. This role manages the end-to-end leave process, supports the interactive accommodation process, and provides guidance to employees and leadership while ensuring adherence to applicable federal and state regulations.This role will also provide critical administrative and operational support to the Human Resources function, including personnel records management, recruitment support, and HRIS-related activities. The position ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies while delivering timely and professional service to employees and internal stakeholders. A high degree of confidentiality, accuracy, and sound judgment is essential in this role.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLeave & Benefits AdministrationAdminister employee leave programs, including FMLA, short-term disability, PWFA, personal and other applicable leave policiesReview certifications, recertifications and track intermittent leavesServe as the primary point of contact for leave-related inquiries, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional communicationCoordinate with internal stakeholders to track and manage leave casesMaintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with federal, state, and company requirementsCoordinate return-to-work requirements and stipulationsADA AccommodationsAdminister ADA accommodation requests, including documentation, tracking, and coordination with employees and managementFacilitate and document the interactive process in accordance with legal requirements and company policyMaintain confidential accommodation records in compliance with applicable regulationsHR Administration & ComplianceMaintain employee personnel files, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established recordkeeping standardsProcess and file documentation received from departments in a timely and accurate mannerTrack and maintain required employee acknowledgements, including handbook and facility-related documentationSupport internal and external audits and ensure adherence to record retention requirementsHRIS & Systems SupportPrepare and submit IT tickets for employee lifecycle changes, including new hires, terminations, and position updatesProvide first-level HRIS support and troubleshooting; escalate issues as appropriateAssist in maintaining data integrity across HR systemsRecruitment SupportConduct and document pre-employment reference checksProvide administrative support throughout the recruitment and hiring process, as neededGeneral Administrative SupportProvide administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling, reporting, and correspondenceServe as backup support for reception functions, including greeting visitors and managing incoming communications, as neededParticipate in HR projects and perform additional duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred2–4 years of relevant HR administration or related experienceDemonstrated experience administering leave caseloads for FMLA, ADA, and leave administration processes, including short-term disability programsSolid understanding of reasonable accommodation regulations and requirementsFamiliarity with multi-state employment practices and compliance requirementsStrong organizational and time management skills with a high level of attention to detailDemonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and sound judgmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office applicationsPreferred QualificationsProfessional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR) a plusWHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?An exceptionally supportive company culture that places people over profitConsistent Monday – Friday schedulesFair and competitive compensation + bonus opportunitiesHealth insurance options with generous company contributionsDental and Vision coverageLife and Disability insurance (100% company paid + options for more!)Competitive 401k match programPaid Time Off (PTO) and Paid HolidaysPaid Volunteerism Time Off (VTO) to support your communityLegal and Pet insurance optionsFree Roadside Assistance for your personal vehicleTuition Assistance ProgramOngoing professional training and developmentEmployee incentive and recognition programsA state-of-the-art office building with outstanding features and amenities, including free onsite fitness center, basketball court, game room with bowling alley, and electronically adjustable workstationsIf you’re passionate about building strong teams, strengthening culture, and making HR a true strategic partner, we’d love to meet you.More about us:Cadence Innovations is a holding enterprise for the flagship company - Alpha Warranty Services and several other business entities.
