Medical Biller (Hybrid) *Hybrid Schedule* | 2 Days Onsite, 3 Days Remote *Full-Time* | Monday-Friday | Flexible Start Time *Experience Level:* Intermediate Join a Growing Healthcare Revenue Cycle Team We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced *Medical Biller* to join our healthcare operations team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about ensuring accurate billing and reimbursement processes. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of insurance billing, accounts receivable management, and claim follow-up procedures, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Key Responsibilities Process and manage medical billing activities for hospital and healthcare services Post insurance payments accurately to open accounts receivable balances Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies through payer follow-up Review, process, and track insurance refunds in accordance with payer and regulatory requirements Monitor claim status through payer portals and direct communication with insurance carriers Work denials and aging accounts receivable to maximize reimbursement Maintain a strong understanding of payer guidelines, billing regulations, and reimbursement policies Prioritize multiple tasks while meeting productivity and quality expectations Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned Qualifications Experience with hospital billing Working knowledge of: Medicare Medicaid Commercial insurance plans Experience with: Insurance denials management Accounts receivable follow‑up Claims status review and resolution Payment posting Ability to: Work independently with minimal supervision Collaborate effectively within a team environment Stay highly organized and detail-oriented Manage multiple priorities and deadlines Experience using EPIC or similar healthcare billing systems preferred Schedule & Work Environment Monday-Friday 8-hour shifts Flexible start time available Hybrid schedule: *Onsite:* Tuesday & Thursday *Remote:* Monday, Wednesday & Friday Considerations Hybrid work flexibility Stable weekday schedule Opportunity to make a direct impact on revenue cycle operations Collaborative and supportive team environment Career growth within healthcare administration and billing Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oak Brook, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.
