AR Specialist

A/R Specialist

The A/R Specialist is responsible for ensuring timely payment of invoices and timely resolution of deductions on open accounts for the Consumer Division accounts. With experience, the A/R Specialist will manage larger accounts.

What You Need to Know:

Researches and denies shortage claims providing copies of shipping documents, BOLS, and PODs to customers

Researches shipping fines providing necessary back up and reports issues to management

Manages and reports on CPI related deductions and clears approved deductions to GL upon approval

Handles incoming call from customers on phone loop

Researches and resolves disputes taken by customers for pricing and other issues

Interacts with sales and customer service on status of accounts and any issues requiring action.

Coordinates reports on AR balances for management

Monitors and researches payment issues

What We Are Looking For:

High School diploma or equivalency

1-5 years' experience in accounts receivable management and collection

Highly organized with strong attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge of MS office software applications, including advanced skills in Excel

Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.

Strong initiative and the ability to be self-directed in prioritizing and completing tasks

Willingness and ability to work extended hours, including overtime as business requires
