Services provided include comprehensive facility operations; project management for renovations, minor construction, and major equipment repairs; engineering, construction, and operations support; custodial and grounds maintenance services; environmental, safety, and occupational health support; food services; motorpool and logistics operations; and physical and technical security services./ppThe HVAC Specialist is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial HVAC equipment such as boilers, chillers, and light commercial units. This job requires theoretical knowledge of air conditioning and the production of chilled water, as well as practical mechanical and electrical understanding./ppEssential Job Functions:/pulliCoordinates and performs inspections on HVAC systems and components (e.g., heating units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, etc.) to evaluate condition, identify necessary repairs, and recommend preventive maintenance./liliPerform installations of HVAC equipment and systems and monitors repairs on systems and/or components (e.g., pumps, motors, air handlers, fan coils, piping, etc.)./liliCoordinates with HVAC Lead and/or Trade Shop Supervisor on completing projects and work orders efficiently./liliDiagnoses cause of problems and/or failures in HVAC systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs./liliTracks performance of routine and preventive maintenance to ensure the availability of HVAC systems./liliPrepares written reports (work order status, activity logs, etc.) for documenting activities and/or conveying information./liliRequests equipment and supplies to maintain correct inventory amounts and ensure availability of items required to complete installations and/or repairs./liliResponds to emergency situations during or after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns./liliPerforms other duties as requested./li/ulpEducation Experience:/pulliHigh School diploma or GED./liliMust have at least six (6) years of HVAC experience./li/ulpLicense Certifications:/pulliJourneyman HVAC License required/liliCFC/HFC certification preferred/li/ulpKnowledge Skills:/pulliMust be skilled in the use of hand and power tools common to trade./liliAbility to interpret and apply codes, blueprints, wiring diagrams and engineering drawings is required./liliMust have knowledge of operation / installation of a variety of complete HVAC systems / equipment./li/ulpSecurity Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI CI Poly/ppIntrepid Acquisition Holdings, LLC/pp Acquisition Holdings, LLC.
