Your Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostics, and developing personalized care plans
• Diagnosing and treating acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses, collaborating with physicians or exercising your independence (based on credentialing)
• Informing patients and families about prevention strategies, wellness practices, and disease management
• Prescribing necessary medications and therapies in accordance with your practice scope
• Engaging in patient follow-up routines and managing chronic care
• Working within multidisciplinary teams to provide cohesive, holistic patient care
• Maintaining accurate and complete documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner program

Essential Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Alabama
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain these within 90 days)
