A respected behavioral health program in Troy, NY is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Geriatric Psychiatrist to provide care in a dedicated inpatient geriatric psychiatry unit. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team delivering specialized, patient-centered care for older adults.

Position: Physician – Psychiatry (Geriatric) Location: Troy, NY Practice Setting: Inpatient Geriatric Psychiatry Unit

• Full-time inpatient role on a 20-bed geriatric psychiatry unit

• 1:6 weekend call rotation

Work alongside a dedicated Clinical Coordinator/Social Worker (geriatrics-trained)

Join a multidisciplinary care team (therapists, counselors, NPs, case managers)

Provide inpatient psychiatric care for geriatric patients

Assess, diagnose, and manage complex psychiatric conditions in older adults

Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams

Participate in shared weekend call rotation

Coordinate care with system-level behavioral health leadership

Ensure high-quality, evidence-based patient care

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry – REQUIRED

Active New York License (or eligible) – REQUIRED

DEA License – REQUIRED

Fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry – HIGHLY PREFERRED

Clean malpractice & license history – HIGHLY PREFERRED

NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days) – REQUIRED
