ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Director, Wholesale, you will oversee goop Beauty's wholesale business across domestic and international accounts, including key wholesale partnerships. Reporting to the Vice President of Wholesale & Wholesale Marketing, you will manage sales operations, retail partner relationships, and business development initiatives while driving growth and maintaining goop's brand integrity. This role requires a strategic thinker who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and adept at managing both client-facing and operational responsibilities.

• Serve as a primary point of contact for key wholesale accounts, ensuring strong relationships, consistent communication, and growth-focused account management.
• Manage communications to ensure continuity in service and account oversight across the team.
• Drive wholesale sales through direct selling to small and boutique accounts, expanding goop presence in domestic and international markets.
• Ability to build retailer plans which include but are not limited to; launch plans, marketing plans, education plans, promotional plans and sell through plans.
• Work cross functionally with marketing, creative, digital, product development and retail teams to ensure brand messaging and priority cohesion.
• Analyze sales reports, forecasts, and performance data to inform business decisions and improve account management strategies. Collaborate with Merch Planning and FP&A teams to ensure efficiency between inventory and financial planning
• Handle administrative tasks, back-office duties, and order management as needed to support seamless sales operations.
• Leverage prior experience with major retailers and international partners to navigate complex account structures and drive long-term growth.
• Lead, mentor, and develop junior team members, including serving as the primary manager for specialist support
• Supervise a team of field sales representatives and brand ambassadors

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• 8+ years of experience in wholesale sales or account management within the beauty, wellness, or consumer goods industries, minimum of 3 years of managerial experience
• Experience working with large domestic retailers, as well as international accounts
• Proven track record of managing and growing key retail partnerships, meeting sales targets, and exceeding revenue goals
• Strong understanding of retail operations, sales forecasting, and budgeting
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Comfortable with CRM tools, sales reporting, and analytics platforms
• Experience managing and mentoring team members
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

FAQ

• Compensation: $140,000 - $160,000 + Variable Incentive Compensation + Equity. This is a full-time, exempt role. Please note that this range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for the Los Angeles, CA based position. Goop, in good faith, reasonably expects to pay the position within this salary range. Goop provides the salary range in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience, training, knowledge and skills, and if the location of the job changes.
