Project Manager II, Laboratory

ICON seeks a Project Manager II for laboratory operations at multiple US locations (hybrid). The position manages central laboratory services for clinical studies, serving as the primary sponsor contact while coordinating protocol setup, study documentation, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder communication. Requires a bachelor's degree in science or related field, plus minimum two years each in clinical laboratory or trials experience and project management within clinical trial services.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for sponsors regarding central laboratory services and study inquiries
• Review protocols and amendments; coordinate Clinical Laboratory Worksheet completion and system data entry
• Establish communication and escalation plans; maintain study files and ensure protocol adherence
• Attend sponsor meetings and provide study management reports and budget monitoring
• Monitor sample shipment timelines and develop training materials for new team members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Business, or related field
• Minimum 2 years clinical laboratory, clinical trials, or life science account management experience
• Minimum 2 years project management experience in clinical trial service areas
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
