Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director will provide medical leadership while delivering high-quality veterinary care to small animal patients. Clinical responsibilities include preventative care, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, dermatology, geriatric medicine, emergency care, and advanced medical services. The role requires collaboration with the wider veterinary and support teams, mentoring colleagues, supporting a culture of continuous learning, and maintaining high standards of patient care. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with clients and team members while helping to guide the hospital's clinical direction. This position is intended for experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
This small animal hospital provides a broad range of primary care and advanced veterinary services for cats and dogs. Equipment and facilities include digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, an in-house pharmacy, and an in-office surgical suite. The hospital has practiced hands-free radiology techniques since 2019, with a strong focus on patient care and safety. Services offered include allergy and itchy skin relief, anesthesia, dental care, dentistry, ear checks, emergency care, full diagnostics, general surgery, geriatric medicine, health examinations, radiology, routine surgeries, spays and neuters, cold laser therapy, dermatology, echocardiography, soft tissue surgery, tonometry, and ultrasound. The hospital benefits from rapid interpretation of radiographs and laboratory work, supporting efficient patient care. Hospital hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and closed on Sundays.

Team
The hospital is staffed by 1 DVM and a great tenured support team, with several team members having been with the practice for more than eight years. The environment is collaborative and well-organised, with doctors supported by two assistants per shift and additional team members available throughout the day. The culture encourages teamwork, learning, mentorship, and the delivery of high-quality veterinary medicine.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
