About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00-07:30) Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Telemetry License: Current RN License (in compliance with state requirements) Certifications: BLS from AHA only, NIHSS (must obtain prior to start) Must-Have Skills/Experience: 1 year experience in Telemetry, inpatient only Experience and competence in drug titration Description: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties in accordance with established guidelines of nursing practice. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Meets unit-specific physical demands, including significant bending, stooping, and lifting. May be required to work varying shifts and schedules according to patient care requirements. Operates within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with professional standards. Maintains accountability for the provision of patient care. Collaborates with direct care staff to ensure comprehensive and effective treatment. Responsible for high risk exposure to blood and body fluids. Maintains professionalism and adheres to ethical standards in patient interaction. Adjusts to varying patient care needs and works with a diverse patient population. Demonstrates flexibility in role responsibilities according to unit needs.
