Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive Talent Acquisition Sourcer for a contract-to-hire opportunity in San Jose, CA. This hybrid role is ideal for a sourcing professional who enjoys building candidate pipelines, conducting talent research, and engaging prospects across a wide variety of business functions. This is a true Sourcer position, not a full-cycle recruiter role. The Talent Acquisition Sourcer will focus on top-of-funnel sourcing, light screening, candidate qualification, and pipeline development before transitioning qualified candidates to Talent Acquisition Partners. This is a strong opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative recruiting environment with supportive leadership, strong teamwork, and the opportunity to contribute to hiring success across multiple departments. The ideal candidate brings strong sourcing discipline, Boolean search skills, ATS experience, and the ability to support a fast-paced talent acquisition team with professionalism, accuracy, and a positive candidate experience. Key Responsibilities- Source, identify, engage, and qualify prospective candidates across a variety of functional areas and business roles.
- Conduct light candidate screening to assess interest, availability, qualifications, and overall fit before passing candidates to Talent Acquisition Partners.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition Partners, hiring managers, and business leaders to understand hiring needs through intake discussions.
- Manage candidate activity, documentation, and pipeline data within Jobvite or a similar applicant tracking system.
- Support recruiting events, information sessions, interviews, and job fairs as needed.
- Track sourcing activity, candidate engagement, and talent acquisition metrics to support hiring goals and project initiatives. Compensation and Benefits

Additional Skills Required Qualifications and Skills - Build and maintain strong top-of-funnel candidate pipelines for multiple business functions.
- Conduct talent mapping, market research, candidate outreach, and high-level qualification.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition Partners and hiring managers to support active and future hiring needs.
- Maintain accurate candidate records, sourcing activity, and recruiting documentation in an ATS. - 4+ years of experience in sourcing or recruiting, preferably in a fast-paced or high-growth environment.
- Experience sourcing for a wide variety of roles, not limited to technical positions.
- Experience sourcing for functions such as finance and accounting, human resources, legal and compliance, IT and internal systems, executive leadership, facilities, operations support, or administrative roles.
- Strong research skills and familiarity with Boolean search techniques.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems and sourcing tools, with Jobvite experience a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail, planning ability, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in an environment with shifting needs and some ambiguity.
- Positive, resilient, customer-focused approach with a growth mindset and commitment to candidate experience. Preferred Qualifications - Familiarity with diversity sourcing strategies.
- Knowledge of labor market trends and talent intelligence tools.
- Experience sourcing or recruiting in the construction industry.
