Note Must be licensed in Washington and have strong litigation experience in products liability, toxic tort, personal injury, wrongful death, or closely related civil defense matters. Job Description Defend products liability matters involving asbestos, silica, benzene, and other complex exposures Handle personal injury and wrongful death litigation from early case strategy through resolution Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other litigation documents Develop defense strategy with minimal supervision and advise clients on risk, exposure, and case direction Manage fact development, formal discovery, witness interviews, and trial preparation Take and defend depositions of plaintiffs, fact witnesses, experts, and corporate representatives Work closely with retained experts and prepare them for deposition and trial Represent clients in court, hearings, mediations, and other litigation-related proceedings Prepare responses to written discovery, objections, and deposition-related filings Travel as needed for depositions, hearings, mediations, trials, and related case activity Maintain a minimum annual billable requirement of 1,800 hours Qualifications J.D. required Licensed in Washington State Oregon license is a plus 5+ years of litigation experience Trial experience is a plus Strong writing, deposition, analytical, and case management skills Ability to work independently and handle complex litigation with limited supervision Experience with science- or medicine-driven litigation issues is strongly preferred Why You Will Love Working Here We offer the opportunity to do sophisticated litigation work in a firm that combines strong professionalism with a supportive and down-to-earth culture.
