Seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week assignment providing safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in an OR/ASU setting.
Position Highlights:
• 36 hours/week guaranteed
• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Weekend requirement
• Holiday requirement
• On-call required
• 30-minute call response time required
• Floating not required
• Travel candidates only
• 100-mile radius rule applies
• Prior travel experience required
• Biweekly billing cycle
Key Duties:
• Provide safe and effective nursing care in the Operating Room/ASU setting
• Assess patient needs and provide appropriate clinical care throughout the perioperative process
• Maintain a safe and aseptic environment
• Utilize clinical equipment and instrumentation appropriately
• Monitor patients and recognize changes in clinical condition
• Demonstrate lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills
• Promote patient safety and appropriately utilize patient lifts and safe-movement techniques
• Prioritize and delegate nursing responsibilities effectively
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team
• Provide patient care and education based on individual clinical needs
• May assume charge nurse responsibilities when required
Requirements:
✔ Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
✔ Current New York State RN license
✔ Current BLS certification required
✔ ACLS preferred
✔ Prior travel nursing experience required
✔ Strong knowledge of nursing principles and perioperative patient care
✔ OR/ASU clinical equipment and instrumentation experience
✔ Strong leadership, prioritization, and delegation skills
✔ Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
✔ Ability to function effectively in stressful situations and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
✔ Preceptorship, charge, or leadership experience preferred
✔ Must be able to meet the 30-minute on-call response requirement
✔ 100-mile radius rule: Travel candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility

Patterns Hiring Job ID #805-0925. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
