Test TechnicianAs a Test Technician at Impulse, you will perform a wide range of spacecraft component and assembly testing while developing and maintaining state-of-the-art test equipment.ResponsibilitiesFabricate, assemble and maintain test equipmentPerform extensive testing on a variety of test equipment including pressure and propellant systems, combustion devices, vibration tables, thermal chambers and vacuum chambersPerform calibration activities for automated acceptance testing equipmentWork with designers, engineers and other technicians to improve test processes and throughputProvide training and guidance to other techniciansMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalency certificate3+ years of professional experience in aerospace or other relevant operations or test environmentExperience with the safe operation of pressure, electrical, power and data acquisition systemsProficient with basic fabrication tools and processes (electric/pneumatic power tools, tube bending, machining, welding, etc.)Ability to troubleshoot problems with fluid and electrical systems and implement scrappy solutionsPreferred Skills and Experience5+ years' of demonstrated experience with propulsion and/or fluid system assembly, testing on rockets, launch vehicles, or spacecraftExperience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, an understanding for drawing symbols, flag notes and general notesAbility to follow written and verbal instructions, with knowledge of standard operating proceduresAttention to detail and accuracy while working within a fast-paced production environmentAdditional Requirements:Flexible schedule and willing to travel as neededAdditional Information:Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
