Specialty Backup Available: Yes, Closed ICU, multidisciplinary team
Support Staff Available: 9 Rounding Physicians, 2 Admitting Physicians, RNs, APPs

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Board: Board Certified NP or PA (NCCPA for PAs; national certification for NPs)
Licenses: Active Virginia License, Active DEA
DEA / CDS: Active DEA required
Certifications: ACLS, BLS required
Experience: Minimum 2 years Hospital Medicine experience
Other Qualifications: Familiarity with Epic EMR, ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary team

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide day coverage as part of hospitalist team (7a-7p shift).
Round on patients and manage inpatient care.
Perform admissions and collaborate with admitting physicians.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and APPs.
Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and order entry.
