Come join us on our journey!About the RoleAs a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will use your skills to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will have the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. Your video interview invitation will be from HireVue and you will have 7 days to record your interview.Your video interview will be reviewed by the Amazon Hiring Team and you will be notified of next steps via email within 5 business days.Key Job ResponsibilitiesKey job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Promote a safe working environment by following all safety proceduresComplete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentationTroubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) which includes belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and moreMaintain a positive working relationship across all of the Amazon Operations facilityBe able to move up to 49lbs, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, climb ladders and gangways safely, and without limitation, as well as perform regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the headPlease note that while we strive to accommodate employees' preferences for shift assignments, due to operational requirements and scheduling constraints, we cannot guarantee a specific shift assignment.A Day in the LifeYou'll start each shift with a safety huddle and review of open work orders. From there, it's hands-on — performing preventive maintenance on shoe sorters and conveyors, troubleshooting breakdowns in real time, and coordinating with Operations to keep packages flowing. You'll use electrical and mechanical skills daily, from diagnosing drive faults to replacing divert shoes and calibrating sensors. Every job gets documented in CMMS, and every shift ends with a clear handoff to the next crew. No two days look the same, and your work directly impacts site performance.
