Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Medical Surgical Experience BLS Description: General Comments: Unit Information: Level of Care: Medical Surgical, Telemetry Number of Beds: 34 private beds Number of Staff: 50 Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 6 RNs, 3 Techs, 1 DA Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 3 Techs from 7 PM to 11 PM, 1 Tech from 11 PM to 7 AM Patient Ratios: 5-6 patients per nurse Type of Equipment: Telemetry, bedside monitors, vein finder, bladder scanner, EKG machine, Doppler, Hoyer Lift, glucometer, pulse oximeter, scales, wound vac EMR: Meditech Typical Hiring Profile: Most Recruited Skills: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Medical Surgical Experience BLS Preferred Skills: Candidates with these skills will be considered first. Trauma Experience Telemetry Experience Specialized Aspects of Care: Management of complex wounds Administration of blood products Pain management Tubes and drains: NG, PEG, feeding tubes, surgical drains, chest tubes Best Personality Fit: Team player Compassionate Floating Areas: Medical Surgical, Telemetry (if certified) Dress Code: Scrub Color/Attire: Navy Weekends and On-Call: Every other weekend, no on-call.
