About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: - Must have BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. - Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description: General comments on unit information are as follows: The unit has 50 cardiac monitored beds and an 8-bed Rapid Treatment Area. There are approximately 120 staff members on the unit. Staff includes Day Shift Charge Nurse, 23 RNs, Emergency Department Technicians, and Medics. Night Shift consists of a Charge Nurse, 20 RNs, Emergency Department Technicians, and Medics. Patient ratios are set at 4:1. The unit utilizes GE cardiac monitoring equipment. The EMR system in use is Meditech. Typical procedures performed in the unit reflect the functions of an Emergency Department. Ideal candidates will show a positive attitude, be teamwork-oriented, and exhibit flexibility. There are no floating areas. Dress code consists of navy scrubs. Availability on weekends is required. No on-call duties are required for this position.
