Junior Associate / Senior Analyst - Financial Institutions Group Region Americas Location Chicago Group Investment Banking Group Description Evercore’s Financial Institutions Group is responsible for covering a broad range of corporate clients and financial sponsors across Banks and Wealth & Asset Management. The team has a highly successful and long‑standing track‑record of advising on many notable transactions across deal types including acquisitions, mergers‑of‑equals, equity and debt capital markets transactions, shareholder defense and activism, among other complex transactions. Evercore seeks to hire an experienced Junior Associate or Senior Analyst for its Banks team within the Financial Institutions Group to be based in either New York, NY or Chicago, IL. Primary Responsibilities Evercore's unique market position provides its junior bankers with the ability to work closely with senior bankers on differentiated and industry-transforming transactions in markets around the world. The small deal team structure provides junior bankers with an incomparable platform to learn investment banking while assuming very high levels of responsibility early in one’s career. As part of the team, the Junior Associate / Senior Analyst will have the opportunity to work primarily on a range of M&A transactions and other strategic advisory assignments for Bank clients. Specific Qualifications Candidates must have a strong and demonstrated interest in investment banking with solid quantitative and analytical skills, as well as the ability to think broadly about a range of strategic issues confronting the firm’s clients. Knowledge of accounting, valuation, corporate finance, and business strategy is a pre‑requisite. Responsibilities for a Junior Associate / Senior Analyst include managing junior analysts and working on financial and valuation analyses, complex financial and accounting issues, industry and competitive analysis, due diligence, client presentation materials, management and execution of live deal situations, and support of new business development. Be at least a rising third year Analyst or Junior Associate at another investment bank Preferably three or more years of relevant work experience Strong grasp of corporate finance, valuation, and financial accounting Superior analytical skills and demonstrated excellence in academic coursework Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to articulate ideas Outstanding communications skills, both written and oral Great work ethic Enthusiastic, outgoing, and achievement‑oriented character Expected Base Salary Range $140,000 - $185,000 In addition to a competitive base salary, employees may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus delivered in the form of cash and/or deferred equity.
