Software Development Engineer, EC2 ML Supercompute

Salary: $143,400 - 143,400 per year Requirements:

• Were looking for a solid understanding of computer science fundamentals and experience designing and developing large-scale distributed or embedded software applications.
• Preferred: in-depth knowledge of machine learning frameworks, cluster management, or embedded systems.
• At least 3 years of professional software development experience outside internships.
• At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• At least 1 year of programming experience with a modern language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design.
• A bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
• Preferred: at least 3 years of experience across the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Preferred: knowledge of computer architecture, operating systems, and parallel computing.

• Build and maintain software and services that enable efficient provisioning and delivery of UltraServer compute to customers.
• Improve the quality, availability, observability, and performance of EC2 services.
• Own key business outcomes and make trade-off decisions.
• Collaborate with technical peers and stakeholders across hardware, firmware, software, and operations to deliver for customers.
