Bookkeeper - Middletown, RI

Our client, an established organization in the healthcare services space, is seeking a Bookkeeper to support core accounting and financial operations. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day financial processes, maintaining accurate records, and supporting reporting and compliance activities, while working closely with internal finance leadership.

Responsibilities

• Process and record incoming payments and manage accounts payable activities
• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy of financial data
• Prepare routine financial reports and assist with monthly close activities
• Support vendor administration and maintain related documentation
• Coordinate with external partners for audits and required reporting
• Assist with cash management activities and banking transactions
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient financial operations

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working with a general ledger in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• 2+ years of payroll processing experience using a third-party system (ADP preferred)
• Experience in a healthcare or related industry preferred
