The company is open to individuals who lean more heavily toward engineering or toward business development, provided they possess strong technical systems knowledge and enjoy working in highly consultative environments.The position works heavily through established manufacturer representative channels while also helping generate new business opportunities through relationship development, industry engagement, and technical sales support.Sales Engineer ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain relationships with manufacturer representatives, engineering firms, contractors, national accounts, and end users across the commercial HVAC marketSupport indirect sales channels by providing technical expertise, sales coordination, and customer-facing support throughout the project lifecycleDeliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and consultative discussions related to commercial HVAC and mechanical system applicationsCollaborate with engineering, preconstruction, and operations teams to support project pursuits and customer solutionsDrive opportunities through the sales pipeline while supporting pricing, proposal development, and customer communicationsParticipate in trade shows, conferences, and industry networking events to generate interest and build long-term business relationshipsAct as a technical liaison between customers, channel partners, and internal teams to ensure alignment and successful project executionSupport process improvement efforts related to CRM management, sales coordination, and channel partner engagementMonitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to support ongoing growth initiativesSales Engineer QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline preferred3+ years of experience in HVAC systems, mechanical systems sales, technical sales, applications engineering, or related industriesStrong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and building mechanical infrastructureExperience working with manufacturer representatives, engineering firms, contractors, or national account customers preferredStrong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skillsEntrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and drive new business opportunitiesAbility to manage multiple opportunities and long sales cycles simultaneouslyExperience with CRM systems, technical presentations, and consultative sales environments preferredAutoCAD, Revit, or related technical software exposure is a plusWillingness to travel for customer meetings, trade shows, and industry eventsCompensation & BenefitsBase salary around $140,000 depending on experienceUncapped commission potentialFlexible compensation structure, including potential commission-heavy optionsComprehensive benefits packageHybrid and remote flexibility depending on territory and experienceLong-term career growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding organizationKonik is an equal opportunity employer.
