Sr. System Administrator

Principal System Administrator Location: US-MA-MARLBOROUGH-MA3 ~ 1001 Boston Post Rd ~ BLDG 3 Role Type: Onsite Security Clearance: Current U.S. government‑issued Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship required). Must obtain DoDD 8140/8570 certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) within a reasonable amount of time. Salary Range: 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. What You Will Do Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment. Understand and apply Windows Server or Linux fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of moderate to high scope and complexity, including integration of hardware and operating systems. Work with cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements. Provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures; perform other assigned tasks. Ensure systems are operational 24×7, including occasional work beyond standard hours. Travel up to 10% of the year to other U.S. domestic locations as needed. Full‑time, 100% onsite position. Qualifications You Must Have University degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of relevant experience. Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems. Experience with scripting. Experience with help‑desk operations, ticket troubleshooting and resolution. Experience with audit log collection. Experience with system hardening. Transferable current U.S. government‑issued secret security clearance prior to start date; U.S. citizenship required. Qualifications We Prefer Experience as a technical SME or primary point of contact for patching, vulnerability remediation, or compliance initiatives. Experience with VMware virtualization technologies (ESXi, vCenter, VM lifecycle management, host upgrades). Experience securing system configurations, implementing STIG/EVAL STIG, vulnerability remediation, and compliance; familiar with cybersecurity tools such as ACAS, SCAP, Splunk, STIG Viewer. Experience with MECM/SCCM, PXE boot services, OS imaging, and automated software deployment frameworks. Experience with enterprise Windows services, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity integration.
