Executive Chef – Raritan, NJ Salary: $75,000 – $80,000. As part of our leadership and support team, you will help 16,000 chefs and associates deliver world‑class meals in corporate cafés, executive dining rooms, and through on‑site catering and vending innovations. Job Summary As Executive Chef, you will oversee kitchen operations, maintain a safe and sanitary work environment for staff, and prepare or direct meal preparation in accordance with corporate programs and guidelines. Key Responsibilities Plan regular and modified menus per established guidelines. Follow standardized recipes, portioning, and presentation standards; complete production worksheets and waste logs; taste meals to ensure quality. Train kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, equipment operation, and food safety and sanitation. Establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas. Maintain inventory of food and non‑food supplies within guidelines and ensure needed products are available. Decide on utilization of leftover food products following company guidelines. Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and audit procedures. Follow facility, department, and company safety policies and procedures, including incident reporting. Participate in departmental meetings, staff development, and professional programs. Preferred Qualifications A.S. or equivalent experience. Three to five years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending on formal education. Extensive catering experience a plus. High‑volume, complex foodservice operations experience highly desirable. Institutional and batch cooking experience. Hands‑on chef experience required. Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends, focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food‑cost controls, and presentation. Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, e‑mail, and the Internet. ServSafe certification highly desirable.
