Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) in Massena, New York. This position is for a registered nurse providing patient care in an adult and geriatric unit. The role involves managing a patient ratio of 1:6 during the day shifts, with weekend ratios of 1:8, and requires adherence to hospital protocols and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Job Details

• Shift Time: Days, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
• Schedule: Shift will be 7a - 7p with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid New York state license, 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical with Telemetry, BLS and ACLS certifications, experience with EPIC charting system, proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response and code teams, and familiarity with telemetry monitoring.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in community hospital settings, LTAC experience, trauma level II experience.
• Patient Diagnoses: COPD, pneumonia, non-specific abdominal pain, cellulitis, chest pain rule out.
• Special Procedures/Unit Details: Use of specialized equipment such as BiPAP/CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, and oxygen therapy; adherence to isolation precautions and PPE standards.
• Additional Information: Must be able to float, complete modules (up to 5 hours billable), and have EPIC charting experience. Candidates within 75 miles are not accepted, and candidates must have in-hand NY license prior to submission.
