Assistant Professor

Position Overview Assistant Professor – Faculty, Regular Employment. 9‑month tenure‑track position starting 8/24/2026 at the Department of Health Professions, University of Wisconsin‑La Crosse. The department seeks candidates with expertise in movement science, physiology, human performance, and/or epidemiology who have teaching experience and a scholarly agenda that complements the current faculty. Key Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses, maintaining current content, evaluating student work, providing feedback, maintaining records, and holding office hours. Advise students. Maintain an active, ongoing program of scholarship appropriate to the discipline. Provide service to the department, college, university, community, and/or professional organizations. Other duties as assigned by the department chair or dean. Required Qualifications Terminal Academic Degree in a Physical Therapy related field; degree must be earned by the end of the first academic year. Evidence of effectiveness as an instructor. Evidence of clear and effective communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Six months or more of clinical experience. Teaching and/or research experience in movement sciences, physiology, human performance, and/or epidemiology. Benefits Paid vacation for 12‑month positions.
