Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care on a medical-surgical unit, with planning, coordination, and evaluation of patient care
- Assess patient needs and develop, implement, and adjust care plans; monitor vital signs and respond to physiological changes
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor for effects and adverse reactions, ensuring safe medication handling
- Address psychosocial needs and collaborate with patients and families to support recovery and discharge planning
- Orient, supervise, and delegate appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel consistent with scope of practice, in coordination with the CNA and care team
- Document care accurately, maintain compliance with clinical policies, and participate in interdisciplinary rounds to optimize patient outcomes

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- Relevant med/surg nursing experience or demonstrated competency in medical-surgical care
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ability to obtain or maintain required certifications per practice
- Education: nursing degree from an accredited program (ADN or BSN)
- Ability to work nights and adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills; commitment to patient-centered care
