As a Senior Accountant at Airgas, you will be a cornerstone of our Controller organization, driving business success through expert financial oversight and strategic reporting. This is a high-impact role where your expertise in general accounting, analytical research, and complex reconciliations will directly influence our operational excellence.****In particular, you will:***** Lead complex general ledger account analysis, reconciliations, and reporting, including payroll and A/R.* Lead accounting projects and provide guidance to staff accountants.* Drive month-end and year-end closings, including journal entries and financial statement review.* Collaborate with Central Division regions to resolve financial inquiries and document issues.* Prepare detailed internal reports for Division and Corporate management.* Fulfill audit requests and review staff accountant work for completeness.* Maintain internal accounting controls and ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.* Handle special projects and additional duties as assigned.## \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_## ## Are you a MATCH?****Required Qualifications***** Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.* Minimum of three years financial accounting and/or financial reporting required.****Preferred Qualifications***** Public accounting experience and exposure to medium-to-large companies.* Demonstrate a strong understanding of general accounting matters and IFRS/GAAP.* Strong "client service" mindset and work well with internal customers and external parties.* Capable of prioritizing responsibilities on a daily basis to meet required deadlines.* Exhibits customer-focused behavior such as building positive relationships and strives to understand customer's needs, both internal and external.* Ability to handle difficult situations diplomatically and professionally.* Apply exceptionally strong analytical skills through critical thinking with an ability to perform creative problem-solving.* Advanced computer skills (Google Suite, Microsoft Excel).
