Accounts Payable Clerk

divh2Accounts Payable Clerk/h2pThe Accounts Payable Clerk compiles and maintains accounts payable records for assigned vendors./ph3Responsibilities/h3pThe following are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all-inclusive for this position./pulliScan, process and validate invoices weekly in A/P programs for approver review/liliUnderstand and implement sales and use tax rules and regulations/liliCalculate and verify sales tax and use tax owed on invoices/liliVerify approval on all invoices and check requests/liliPrepare and process checks for multiple companies/liliManage purchase order system/liliReconcile vendor statements and answer all vendor inquiries/liliProcess employee expenses, per diem, and credit cards in line with agreed deadlines/li/ulh3Qualifications/h3h4Physical/h4ulliOccasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds/liliRegularly required to talk or hear/liliFrequently required to walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms/liliSubject to repetitive use of hands/arms/liliOccasionally required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, use hands and fingers to handle and feel/liliVision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus/liliWill need to be able to perform sedentary work/liliViewpoint and/or pVault knowledge/li/ulh4Mental/h4ulliMust have the ability to direct others and communicate effectively with other management/supervision/liliTalking and reading writing comprehension is necessary for giving and receiving directions to perform work and/or safety policy/liliAbility to use math/complete calculations/liliMust be able to concentrate amid distractions and remember details/liliAbility to use computer, keyboard, telephone and other office devices/li/ulpCajun does not accept unsolicited resumes from third-party recruiting firms for this position or any position.
